Anatomy & Physiology for Yoga Teachers with Peter Palladino Saturday June 20th and Sunday 21st / Saturday July 11th

This course is designed to cover the needs of Yoga Teachers about Fundamental concepts of Anatomy and Biomechanics
It covers the following Topics:
Yogic Bodies, The physical Body, Its systems, functions and interactions
Musculoskeletal system and movement: Definitions, nomenclature, joint types, muscle actions.
Biomechanics Definitions and relevance for Yoga ~Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar and Pelvic areas. Upper and Lower extremities:
Main Bones and Muscles , Actions, Synergies, Sample Asanas.
The course is taught interactively utilizing Slides, charts, and 3D models, with physical demonstrations and asana embodiment to solidify the concepts and identify the positions and actions of the bones and muscles covered.

Peter Palladino is a E-RYT500 yoga teacher with extensive training in Hatha, Ashanga and Yin yoga. He is a registered Yoga Alliance continuing education provider (YACEP) which recognizes him as an expert in Anatomy and Teaching Methodology.
He has a bachelors degree in Physiology and Bio mechanics and
vast experience training professional competitors and athletes. Peter is a licensed massage therapist for Myofascial release (MFR)
